“Linda!”
called mom. “What mom?”
asked
Linda.“Come here a minute.”
Linda
walked over to mom.“Do you want to deliver a cake to Mr. Lid?”
Mom
asked Linda, in hope she would say yes. “Yes mom, I do want to
deliver the cake,” Linda said. “Okay, where's the cake?” Linda
asked. “Its at Lizzy your friends house,” Mom answered. “Okay,
I'll walk there. Good bye mom.” “Bye Linda,” Mom answered,
waving.
Linda
walked out the door.
*****
“There's
Lizzy's house,” Linda said walking to the door. Lizzy's mom was
standing
on the porch. “I came to pick
up
the cake,” Linda said. “I’ll get it, I'll be right back,”
Lizzy's mom said.
Lizzy
opened the door. “Hi, Linda, I
would
love to help you solve the Mystery.” Lizzy said.
“What
Mystery?” Linda asked. “You know the Bandit that stole the
diamond of Blueberry Hill?” Lizzy asked. “Oh I know now. Okay,
right after I deliver the cake,” Linda answered. Lizzy's mom had
just came out of the kitchen and gave the cake to Linda.
*****
They
delivered the cake and were off to the woods. The forest was dark and
creepy. They walked farther and farther, until someone grabbed Linda
and Lizzy and covered their mouths.
“Don't
say another word! Come with me,” the figure hissed. He brought them
to a cabin in the woods. It was broken down, and there was junk
everywhere. “You're probably from
the
little town of Blueberry,” the figure said pulling out a rope from
a pocket.
Then
Linda spoke up,“yes.” The
figure
tied Lizzy and Linda's hands and brought them inside the cabin.
“Okay,
I’ll keep you as a servant,” the figure said. “For you? No! I
would never work for you!” Linda screamed with anger. “You'd
better or I’ll throw you in the basement,” the figure threatened.
“Okay! Okay! I'll work,”
Linda
answered madly. “Chop fire wood,” the figure said. “We don't
have
time
for work!” Lizzy shouted. “Get in the basement!” the figure
hissed. He pushed them down the basement stairs and shut the door.
“Hello,”
a
voice said in the dark. “Who's there?” Lizzy asked, backing up.
“I have
been
in this basement for three years,”
The
voice said. “You can help me get this rock out of the why, there's
a passage way behind this rock,” the voice said. “Okay!” Lizzy
said. They
pushed
the rock.
*****
When
the rock rolled out of the way they went in, one, two, three.
When
they came out into a huge room, the figure was siting on a chair in
the room, with the DIAMOND!!
“He
must be the bandit!” Linda whispered to Lizzy and the kid from the
basement. The bandit walked
out
of the room. “Here's our chance to
get
the diamond,” Linda said sneaking
out
of the passage. She walked over to the table that had the diamond on
it.
“Come
on lets get out of here!” Lizzy
shouted.
“Are you going to come with
us?”
Lizzy asked the kid from the basement. “No, I think I'll go live in
the woods with some animals,” he answered. Lizzy and Linda went
out
the door and walked in the woods.
*****
“I
see a river,” Lizzy said. “I see a boat,” Linda said. “A
boat? Really?”
“Yeah
over there,” Linda said, pointing to a red boat in to water. They
got in the boat and started rowing. “What a nice boat. We will get
the diamond to Blueberry Hill fast,” Lizzy said.
“Yeah.................why are we going so fast?” Linda asked. “A
WATER FALL!” Lizzy screamed.
A
huge water fall was up ahead.
“I
don't now how to swim!” Lizzy screamed. Lizzy hung on to the boat
while
Linda held on to the diamond.
They
both fell down and down the water fall. They fell into the water.
Linda helped Lizzy get to shore. “Come on were almost there,”
Linda
said. They walked up a path that
lead
to BLUEBERRY HILL!
They
ran down the hill, then Linda stopped, and Lizzy stopped too. “when
we get home please don't tell anyone
about
what happened about us getting
kidnapped
and everything,” Linda said. “Of course I won't,” Lizzy winked
at Linda. Then they both ran down to the town and returned the
diamond.
The
End
