The sun set like a
shooting star, and soon it was night.
“Good night,” a mom
whispered quietly.
The child in the bed did
not answer. The mom walked out of the bedroom door, and shut it.
All night the child would
not sleep. No, instead of sleeping she would stay up all night
watching imaginary fireworks.
No, they where not real.
They where just imaginary.
She would imagine colorful
blasts of light shooting through the beautiful dark blue night sky.
This child actually did
not sleep at all. During the day she would sit in a tree and watch a
dragon hatch babes. They, of course, were imaginary too.
She had no friends because
everybody thought that she was boring and wasn’t like normal
children, liking video games and talking on the phone. She never
really liked talking on the phone, because you
can't see the person
you're talking to.
The child’s name was
Lori. Lori had imagined for most of her life. The first time thing
she imagined was a butterfly. That was when she was two years old.
Then she started imagining
more and more.
One night she fell asleep
and had a dream. It was the most wonderful thing she thought because
she never dreamed before.
The dream said, “Go, go
quickly through a waterfall on the other side of Sugar Plum Stud.
Through the water fall you will find another world that you have to
save from being destroyed! Now go! Hurry!”
The dream floated in her
mind for a little while, and then vanished. “I have to go to the
water fall,” Lori said. She jumped out of bed, got her shoes on,
and sneaked down the stairs.
The sun was barely up, but
still she walked through the dark fields. She heard water, and she
was thinking, “what if it's a waste of time? What if my dream
was lying?” She walked further
and further until her feet felt like they were going to fall off.
She
sat on a rock, exhausted. “I thought I heard water,” she gasped.
The water sound grew louder, then she heard Pan pipes. She got up and
walked to the water sound. When she got to a clearing there was a
water fall, and on a rock stood a boy in green clothing.
“Are
you Peter Pan?” Lori asked, staring at the boy.
The
boy looked up. “Maybe,” he answered slyly.
“You
said in my dream that that a world was -” Lori began, but the boy
interrupted.
“You
fell for the trick!” he said, laughing.
“Now
what do you want? Or have I wasted my time coming here?” She
grumbled.
“I
need to find story fog,” he answered.
“Story
fog? Whats that?” Lori asked, climbing on the rock Peter was on.
“Story fog is fog that helps you tell wonderful stories, and I want
it so I can be a mother for the Lost Boys,”Peter answered. “Then
maybe I would be one of the best story tellers, just like Wendy!”
“Okay, well I don't really have time to find 'Story fog'” Lori
said. “And my mother is probably wondering where I am.”
She
starting walking away.
Peter
raced over and pulled her over to the water fall.
“No!
you can't go! You just got here and I need you!” He shouted,
pulling Lori closer and closer to the water fall.
“NO
STOP! PLEASE LET ME G-” She was cut off as she fell into the water
fall.
*****
Lori
peeked a little bit. Peter was standing there with some children
wearing
animal skins.
“The
bird is alive,” the child in bear skin pointed out.
“Wendy's
back,” the child in fox skin said, pointing at Lori.
“That’s
not Wendy, and it's not a bird, it's a story teller. She is going to
help me find story fog so I can be a great story teller,” Peter Pan
said, holding his Pan pipes.
“I
told you I can't tell you boys stories,” Lori said angrily,
stomping over to a bed of moss. “And I’m not a story teller!”
“You
made her mad,” the twins told Peter. Peter looked down. “Maybe I
made her a little mad, but I know she will love it here,” Peter
said.
Later,
Peter was going to Mermaid Lagoon. Lori looked up at Peter.
“Where
are you going?” She asked, feeling sorry for getting angry and
curious about exploring the land.
“To
Mermaid Lagoon,” Peter answered proudly.
Lori
rolled her eyes and got up from the moss bed. “Can I come?” She
asked in a sweet voice. “Sure. Wait! what's your name?” Peter
asked.
“Lori,
just Lori,” she answered. “Lame, isn't it?”
“Okay,
lets go. You will have a lot of fun here,” Peter said, leading the
way.

Meanwhile
at certain pirate... “Mr. Smee, we have to find Pan's pixie! Then
we can threaten Pan that we will kill Tinker Bell. He will have to
surrender,” Hook explained to Smee.
“I
don't think that would work, cap'n,” Smee commented.
“And
why not?” Hook grumbled.
“Because
Peter Pan is always with Tinker Bell,” Smee explained.
“Back
to the drawing board,” Hook said furiously.
*****
“Are
they real Mermaids?” Lori asked, pointing at one.
“Yep,there
real,” Peter answered jumping from rock to rock.
“I'm
coming!” Lori cried, climbing from rock to rock rather slowly. “Its
Peter!” one of the mermaids called out, and the others shouted
their greetings.
“Hello
girls,” Peter announced.
Lori
was on the last rock when Peter said, “her name is Lori. She's
rather boring.”
That
struck heart. “That's what everyone says!! I'm NOT boring!!” Lori
yelled as she climbed back up the rocks and ran into the woods.
“What's the matter with her?” the red haired mermaid asked.
“I
don't know, but I have been saying things that get her mad,” Peter
guiltily answered.
*****
Meanwhile,
Hook was walking in the woods with Smee.
“Now
we have to think, Smee! We've got to think of a way to get Pan and
BLAST him out of Neverland forever!” Hook planned. Smee didn't say
anything.
*****
“Lori!”
Peter called. “Were could she be? I hope she wasn’t kidnapped! I
should watch my mouth. Wait! Watch my mouth? That’s silly, its not
like my mouth would just run away,” Peter said. “Peter!”
someone called.
“That’s
Lori,” Peter said looking up. Lori was stuck in the trap the lost
boys put up for captain Hook. “Please let me down,” Lori ordered.
“Sure,” Peter giggled. To be continued.
